I am thankful for God's many beautiful gifts in my life....including my friends!

Have You Not Heard?

God is so awesome.  Tonight when I began my devotional time, I read my "verse of the day" for today, then I opened up one of the devotional books I'm currently reading, "Praying the Names of God" and well what do you know....the verse for where I am in that book, just so happens to be the exact same verse.

Funny how things like this happen.  It also happens to be some scripture my heart so desperately needed tonight.

I love how the Lord works.  How He loves us.  And how He gently gives us the same scripture twice just in case we missed the importance of it the first time.  
:)

And so I now share it with you all....may you be as blessed as I was.

For a Friend

Tonight the Lord gave me Psalm 91 for someone I care so much about.  I pray that these verses would cover him and his spirit.  I pray for salvation...I pray for hope....I pray for the light of truth to penetrate the lies.

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

Obedience
