and today was my moving day and thanks to my most wonderful mama it all went great!

day 30 - thankful it's payday today and i'm moving tomorrow! woohoo!

day 29 - thankful for the overwhelming knowledge that God loves me. and His love never fails. It is perfect!

day 28 - thankful my apartment is starting to look empty.....that means i must be packing up my things for my NEW apartment! super excited to move!

day 27 - stuff i didn't even know...

day 27 - thankful for the opportunities the Lord places in front of me....you know....the ones I didn't ask for and didn't think I wanted only to discover that God knows better than i do. :)

a little behind....

well i have been posting my 30 days of thanks to my facebook page but have seriously lagged here.  so here is a quick catch up!

day 16: thankful for Fridays! like today!

day 17: so very thankful for my "present" life....thankful that the Lord has worked so many things together for good and has brought me to where I am today....thankful for the blessings, thankful for the opportunities, just thankful!

day 18:  thankful for my camera....have i said that yet?

day 19:  thankful it's my last night of house sitting!  After a month of being away from my own place I am looking forward to returning to my apartment!

day 20:  1. SUPER thankful to the cashier at Target who allowed me to cut back in line after waiting in her line twice before because i kept picking up the wrong thing! There are still awesome people in the world!
2. thankful to be in my own apartment for the first time in a month! quite....no fur....it is a disaster at the moment...but the "clean" part will come soon enough.

day 21:  i'm thankful for american grocery stores....you never know how awesome something is until you live in another country and experience how spoiled we are here.

Day 11 - Veterans!

Day 11:  Veterans - I'm thankful for all who have served our blessed country to protect the rights and freedoms that have made America what it is.  I'm proud to be the daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many who have served!

I am thankful for God's many beautiful gifts in my life....including my friends!

Have You Not Heard?

God is so awesome.  Tonight when I began my devotional time, I read my "verse of the day" for today, then I opened up one of the devotional books I'm currently reading, "Praying the Names of God" and well what do you know....the verse for where I am in that book, just so happens to be the exact same verse.

Funny how things like this happen.  It also happens to be some scripture my heart so desperately needed tonight.

I love how the Lord works.  How He loves us.  And how He gently gives us the same scripture twice just in case we missed the importance of it the first time.  
:)

And so I now share it with you all....may you be as blessed as I was.

For a Friend

Tonight the Lord gave me Psalm 91 for someone I care so much about.  I pray that these verses would cover him and his spirit.  I pray for salvation...I pray for hope....I pray for the light of truth to penetrate the lies.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;

Today is my last day being 32. I am always so excited about leaving an old year behind me and looking ahead to a new year. There is so much hope when you are a child of God. Knowing that the Lord plans my ways and has proven to me in the past that His ways are so much better than my own, leaves me with optimism for my future.

So I'm looking forward to being 33 and seeing what all this new year of life will hold for me!

Thankful

Every once in a while I stop and take a thoughtful look over my life...the choices I have made, the road the Lord has taken me down and where I am at this present moment.  I am so thankful that the Lord loves me enough to want the best for me.  That He has loved me enough to really keep me from making some poor choices on my own.  I can hardly take credit for even being obedient, cause there have been so many times where I either reluctantly went along with the Lord's plans, or the decisions were almost forced on me....but again, I look at my life now and cannot thank Jesus enough for guiding me and for really saving me from choices I wanted so badly in past.  HE knows what is best for me.  Why do we want to settle for GOOD when He wants to give us the BEST?  As Oswald Chambers puts it, "The greatest enemy of the life of faith in God is not sin, but good choices which are not quite good enough. The good is always the enemy of the best."

I couldn't agree more.  

Just feeling really thankful this morning for the Lord's hand on my life.  

Thankful that He came to give me life and for that life to be abundant.
